ILLINOIS - On April 10, 2015 the Governor of Illinois declared DeKalb and Ogle counties state disaster areas after severe storms and tornados affected areas of Rochelle and Fairdale. As a result of this current disaster in the State of Illinois customers may experience disruption of mail delivery and displacement from their residences, businesses, and other properties.

To help provide safeguards for customers and to ensure that Illinois consumers affected by this disaster do not suffer unnecessary hardship, effective immediately there is a moratorium on cancellations and nonrenewals.

The moratorium is in effect starting April 9, 2015 until June 9, 2015. We will work with our customers who are impacted by not cancelling or non-renewing policies that are in a delinquency due to non-payment of premium. This is not a waiver, but rather an extension of the grace period in which to pay premiums. Policyholders requiring an extension should contact Customer Service at 800-247-2190 to discuss a reasonable time frame based on their circumstances.

Your local pharmacies should be aware of the emergency order.  If a customer from the disaster area fills a prescription for a lost or damaged medication and the claim is denied due to a "refill too soon" message, the pharmacy will have authorization to allow the refill.
